Filipino pageant fans and followers need to mark their calendars and ready their wallets as tickets to the Miss World Philippines coronation night are now on sale.
In one of the more recent posts on the official Miss World Philippines Instagram account, the organization announced that the pageant's coronation night will be held on July 19, 8 p.m., at the SM Mall of Asia Arena. In the caption to the post, the organization promised the night will “come alive with beauty, elegance, and fierce competition as the country's most captivating candidates take the stage.”
On the SM Tickets website, prices for the Miss World Philippines coronation night tickets range from PhP10,760 for VVIP seats and PhP560 for general admission.
The news about the coronation night comes after Miss World Philippines's announcement a couple of weeks ago that the Beach Beauty competition will be held at Aqua Boracay tomorrow, June 26, 2024. In the caption to the post, the organization said that audiences will see the candidates “showcase their elegance and charm against the breathtaking backdrop of Boracay.”
The Miss World Philippines organization has also teased the new crown that the delegates will be competing for.
This year's candidates were also recently presented to the press at SEDA Manila Bay's Grand Ballroom.
This year's candidates were revealed over the span of a few weeks, with the first half chosen from the final screening held at the Glass Ballroom of Okada Manila.
The second batch of official delegates were then picked from regional competitions here in the country and around the world. The second batch also included notable names like former Miss Charm Philippines Krishnah Gravidez and Miss Universe Philippines 2024 contestants Bianca Tapia and Dia Maté.
The winner of this year's Miss World Philippines pageant will take over from current reigning Miss World Philippines Gwendolyne Fourniol, who finished in the Miss World pageant outside of the Top 40. After her participation, Gwendolyne Fourniol shared her gratitude for the support sent her way after her Miss World performance.
“My eyes are swelling with tears trying to hold it all in so the world can see a brave woman who gave her all,” she wrote. “But like any human being, I think it is normal to admit that it is okay to be vulnerable, it is okay to be hurt, it is okay to be in shock and question myself and my capabilities.”
