Behind the glitz and glamour of showbiz, there is a dark side to the industry that celebrities avoid talking about.
But there are popular personalities who have shared their indecent proposal experience. Some shrugged it off, while others blatantly expressed feeling offended.
Here are some of the brave stories of male and female celebrities as they bravely speak out about their personal experience.
Kokoy, who is among the most popular Boys Love (BL) actors today, admitted to Paolo that someone offered him a car. He recalled, "May mga indecent proposals. 'Di naman siya ano sa akin, 'di rin naman ako na-offend... May offer agad na gusto mo ng kotse? Hindi ko kaya talaga, e. Sabi ko nga, simula pagkabata ko, ito na pinaggagawa ko, e. Siyempre, yung pamilya ko, ganiyan."
Meanwhile, Royce, who also had a similar experience with Kokoy, said that point-blank rejected it.
Sparkle actors, Kokoy de Santos and Royce Cabrera, spilled the beans about their own experience of getting indecent proposals during interview with Paolo Contis on his online show 'Just In.'
In an interview with an entertainment website posted on March 2009, the celebrity dad admitted that he received an indecent proposal from a rich gay guy. The guy even tried to talk to his dad and offered him a brand new vehicle.
Although he didn't mention the name of the gay person, Aljur said that this guy even tried to talk to his dad.

Derek said he had to set limitations about interacting with his fans. He said then, “If the fans go over the limit, na inaaya kang mag-sex chat or whatever you call it, that's where you draw the line.”

In an article published on May 2014, Rodjun confirmed that he gets indecent proposals via his Instagram account from people offering financial support just for a one-night stand. But the Encantadia star doesn't entertain these things and he quickly deletes their messages on the image-sharing platform.

According to a showbiz article published on October 2010, Jospeh categorically denied having a gay benefactor. But he admitted that he received indecent proposals in the past. He talked about someone who promised to give him a condominium unit, a car or even a show.
Former basketball player-turned-actor Marco Alcaraz in an interview with the press in 2007 admitted that someone offered him some money for him to agree to a date.
Marco further elaborated that the gay guy sent him a text message offering him Php 200,000, but he found it offensive.
Former 'Survivor Philippines' winner JC Tiuseco recalled that in 2011, when he won the reality show, he got an offer from a person through text amounting to PhP100,000.
JC told PEP.Ph, "May mga nakukuha akong text before, kakapanalo ko pa lang [sa Survivor Philippines]. Ino-offer-an ako ng 100 thousand. Hindi ko na lang nire-reply-an,"
Kapuso hunk Phytos Ramirez confirmed in an interview with a showbiz website on June 2015 that he also receives indecent proposal from his gay fans.
Phytos elaborated that when he received a text from a gay guy, he made sure that his mom knew about it and immediately turned down the offer. He said that the person offered him money and a car.

Former StarStruck alumnus Vivo Ouano admitted in a showbiz website interview last month (September 2017) that the reason why he doesn't have any manager is because aside from a working relationship, some have asked to be in a romantic relationship with him. Vivo later clarified his statement and said that he didn't want to offend anyone with his previous interview. The celebrity dad also stressed that he has no bad experience with gay people.
Former 'Alyas Robin Hood' star KC Montero revealed to his Instagram followers an exchange of messages with an unidentified person who offered him money for a one-night stand. In the post, the person offered the actor Php 20,000 which KC rejected.
Jeric Gonzales went on record saying that someone offered him an indecent proposal.
In a report by 'Unang Hirit,' Jeric stressed that he didn't experience any exploitation or abuse in his seven years in showbiz, but it was true that he got an indecent proposal from a politician. Currently, the Kapuso actor is being romantically linked to his 'Magkaagaw' co-star Klea Pineda.

The promising Kapuso singer mentioned in his interview with PEP.Ph that a rich gay guy offered him a trip to Thailand complete with shopping money. But Jeremiah respectfully turned down his offer.

Marco expressed his disgust after experiencing indecent proposal in the past. This much he revealed in his vlog. He said someone offered him Php two million to pose naked. He told his subscribers, “Actually, medyo inaway ko siya kasi medyo bastos siya. At nakilala ko na siya dati sa isang event. Na-off talaga ako sa kanya. Sabi ko, 'Nope.'”
Kapuso actor Dave Bornea admits he has received indecent proposals from his admirers.
During the mediacon fro the finale of 'Babawiin Ko Ang Lahat' in May 2020, Dave said he never entertained any of these offers, “Noong first time ko na na-experience siya, of course parang so good to be true… Too good to be true na offer na ganyan na malalaki, pero ako hindi ko siya masyado tinutuunan ng pansin. Kasi nga parang, para saan pa siya? And, of course hindi ko naman gaano kakilala 'yung mga nag-o-offer, hinahayaan ko lang siya, Na-appreciate ko naman din sila. 'Yun nga parang I'm not into that kaya thank you na lang.”
Kapuso hottie David Licauco admitted on TV that he too experienced getting indecent proposals when he was young.
During the 'May Pa-PressCon' segment of 'The Boobay and Tekla Show' (TBATS), David shared some details about his experience. He told Boobay and Tekla, “Siguro dati mas marami, noong medyo mas bata pa ako pero ngayon wala na masyado. I mean siguro kasi iniisip nila na kahit papano may ginagawa na ako sa buhay so hindi naman na sila masyado nagme-message ng indecent proposals. Pero dati marami.”
Just like David, EA Guzman also confirmed during his TBATS guesting that someone offered him P100,000, when he was competing in the talent competition 'Mr. Pogi' of 'Eat Bulaga.'
The moreno hottie remembered that someone messaged him through text. “Nung nagsta-start ako sa showbiz, 'yung 'Mr. Pogi,' 'yun, doon maraming nagte-text. Di pa kasi uso 'yung Instagram dati eh. Pero dito lately, wala naman. Kumbaga 'yung iba lang, alam mo 'yun, gusto lang magpapansin. Magbibigay kunwari, may magdi-DM, may digits pero alam mo 'yun, parang ako, dedma.”
Former 'Pinoy Big Brother' housemate Marco Gallo
In an interview with a tabloid newspaper, the Filipino-Italian actor recalled receiving an e-mail from someone offering him PhP35,000 just to get him in a lunch date. Marco told Bandera he didn't entertain the proposal at all, he said, “But no, I just have really a rule for my own soul, for myself, and I just believe that there's no shortcuts in life. You really have to go through hard work to earn money.”
Italian-Canadian model-turned-actor Nico Locco, Nico Fowler in real life, won Best Actor in the 2019 Gawad Sining Film Festival Awards Night for his performance in the indie film “Sabado.”
In an interview with showbiz portal PEP.Ph in October 2021, Nico confirmed that he has experienced receiving indecent proposals from fellow actors in the local entertainment scene, which surprised him. Nico recalled, “Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha! Ayokong magkuwento, pero of course, marami. Maraming personalities. Oo, marami, ayokong magkuwento. Ang dami! Even from people that you would never think you'd get one from!”
Kapuso Pop Rocker Anthony Rosaldo revealed that he usually received indecent proposals on his social media accounts.
In his Kapuso Confessions Anthony explained, "'Yung mga natatanggap ko kasing proposals would be straight to the point, e. Like 50,000 for this, 10,000 labas tayo, 20,000 for one night."
Newbie actor Juan Carlos Galano admitted in an interview with PEP.ph that he was caught off guard when he first received an indecent proposal.
Juan Carlos said he just ignored messages on his social media accounts that contain indecent proposals.
'Open 24/7' actor Kimson Tan opened up about the indecent proposal he got before.
According to the chinito hunk, someone messaged him on Instagram and offered him one million for a dinner date.
He said in an interview with PEP.Ph, “But the offer was dinner. Pero ako kasi personally, I don't reply to messages na ganun, kasi siyempre mahirap na po, e.
“And ako naman personally, sabi ko nga, as long as hindi nako-cross yung respect, yung boundaries, kahit… you know, people commenting every time I post beach pictures, ganun, sabi ko, wala naman sa akin yun.”
Ara Mina also had the unpleasant experience of receiving “indecent proposals” from unknown guys.
Ara talked about this during her exclusive interview with Pia Arcangel in her podcast. The former 'Bubble Gang' star recalled, "Basta I remember nagkaroon lang ako ng stalker. Nagkaroon ako ng mga suitors na, I admit na mayroong mga indecent proposal na nakakatakot,mga ganun."
She added that her manager looked out for her and chastised these persons, “One time sa manager ko may kumontak din. Nag-meet na po ba kayo ni Ara ganiyan-ganiyan. Inaway ng manager ko, kasi 'di ba parang may mga weird eh. Parang feeling nila kaya nilang bilhin lahat."
During his interview with Fast Talk with Boy Abunda, athlete-turned-actor John Vic De Guzman admitted to receiving an indecent proposal in which he was promised an iPhone, cash, and free shopping in exchange for a date.
“Ang sabi niya sa akin, 'John Vic, kung may free time ka, ngayong December bago ako bumalik ng January, magkita sana tayo. May sasakyan naman ako, susunduin kita. Bibilhan kita ng iPhone, bibigyan kita ng money, punta tayo sa ibang lugar, ipagsa-shopping kita kahit anong gusto mo,” he shared.
The Abot-Kamay Na Pangarap actor John Vic De Guzman claimed that he did not respond to the indecent proposal.
