Jillian Ward's stellar career will continue to shine bright in 2025 after it was announced that the 'Star of the New Gen' is the lead actress of a brand-new romcom series on GMA Prime.

For over two years, Jillian took us on a roller coaster ride of emotions playing Doc Analyn in the high-rating afternoon soap Abot-Kamay na Pangarap. But now, she is moving on to embrace a new challenge with My Ilonggo Girl.

Jillian talked about this new project on 24 Oras saying, “After two and half years sa Abot-Kamay na Pangarap palagi po ako umiiyak bilang si Doktora Analyn, dito medyo mas fun lang po dito. Pero, Tito Lhar, challenging pa rin siya for me kasi 'yung isa ko pong character may Ilonggo accent po siya.”

“Nae-excite rin po ako kasi first-time ko po magkakaroon ng parang love team talaga sa isang show. Kasi dun po sa Abot-Kamay 'yung mga ka-pair ko po dun parang unexpected.”

In My Ilonggo Girl, the Kapuso actress will be paired with Sparkada heartthrob Michael Sager, whom she's alredyd worked with in Abot-Kamay na Pangarap and Daig Kayo Ng Lola Ko.

Michael has only kind words for his leading lady. He told 24 Oras, “Excited po ako, siguro, iba 'yung chemistry nai-share when we are on set. So, I'm looking forward to this partnership.”

“Iba talaga 'yung hitsura niya in person, napakaganda. Siguro siya 'yung one of the artist na-starstruck ako, when I first met her. And what's crazy about Jill is napakabait niya, so 'yung personality niya, dagdag sa ganda niya 'yun na very welcoming.”

“Dahil diyan, Michael, ililibre kita mamaya, maraming salamat sa'yo,” the Star of New Gen replied after hearing what the actor said in his interview.

Jill added, “I can say the same thing din po kay Michael, kasi una sa lahat, mabait po si Michael. He also looks good, so nae-excite din po ako na maka-work siya.”
