Pageant fans need to keep their calendars clear as the Miss Universe Philippines organization is teasing an event on their social media accounts.
The Miss Universe Philippines organization uploaded a short clip on its official Instagram account showing the pageant's La Mer en Majeste crown, with text above it that reads “Who will be the next Miss Universe Philippines?”
The tease for what is probably a reveal of this year's Miss Universe Philippines candidates comes after the announcement of A Queen's Runway, a documentary about the 2024 Miss Universe Philippines pageant that premiered last month at the Shangri-La Mall cinemas. The filmmakers behind the documentary, Erik Sopracasa and Tom Sys, were also in the country for the premiere.
During a press conference held at the premiere, Erik and Tom teased that their project would be making its debut on Netflix “this year.”
“There are still some things that we have to finalize but we are allowed to say that it will be very shortly. You will see some stuff coming out soon,” Erik shared. “What I'd like to say to the global audience is looking through the Philippines through the eyes of Miss Universe. A global audience will also have the idea of the culture and what it is being in the Philippines.”

Whoever the candidates may be, they will be competing to succeed the first-ever Miss Universe Asia Chelsea Manalo, who has been busy ever since returning from her stint in the Miss Universe pageant.
Just last month, Chelsea was at the Ternocon held at the Philippine International Convention Center (PICC) wearing a creation by Manny Halasan. Ternocon is an event that features reinterpretations of traditional attire like the terno, the Balintawak, and the kimona.
Chelsea was also recently celebrated at the De La Salle Araneta University (DLSAU) after she was awarded the Gawad Lasallianeta 2025 - Lasallians' Choice Award as well as an Alumna Achiever award by the DLSAU Alumni Association, Inc.
A week before that, she met Kapuso audiences on All-Out Sundays, where she joined the show in paying tribute to Cebu's famed Sinulog festival. Chelsea also treated the All-Out Sundays audience and viewers with a song.
