BTS's agency, BigHit Music, has just released an update regarding their ongoing legal actions against malicious attacks.

In an English statement on Weverse, the agency outlined its legal actions regarding defamation, privacy violations, and other harmful acts targeting BTS.

"As a result of the previous lawsuit, the identities of multiple individuals responsible for malicious posts have been identified, and investigations have been conducted. Some of the defendants have been fined, while others have had their cases forwarded to the prosecution, with investigations ongoing. A few are currently undergoing trials. We remain committed to ensuring that those responsible for malicious posts are held accountable and face appropriate penalties," BigHit Music stated.

The agency ensured that all alleged perpetrators faced full legal consequences. In cases of serious criminal acts, including stalking, BigHit Music took immediate legal action that led to arrests, detainment, and prosecution.

"Earlier this year, the court sentenced the perpetrator to a fine of 10 million KRW. We will continue to take a firm stance against any actions that threaten the safety of our artists, with no leniency extended to the offenders," the agency mentioned.

BigHit Music also emphasized its proactive approach in monitoring and gathering evidence of malicious posts across both domestic and international platforms. Fan reports have been instrumental in identifying offenders, which the agency confirmed that they had filed formal complaints with law enforcement.

"As a result, we have gathered substantial evidence regarding malicious posts and have formally filed complaints with law enforcement agencies. Additionally, we are closely monitoring malicious posts targeting BTS members currently fulfilling their military service. We will continue to report and pursue legal action against such content," they stated.

"We would like to stress once again that spreading baseless and malicious rumors that defame the artists' reputation and violate their personality rights, publicly insulting them with the intent to slander, engaging in acts of sexual harassment, or infringing on their privacy are not only actions that cause severe harm to the artists but also illegal acts punishable under the law."

BigHit Music encouraged fans to continue reporting any violations of the members' rights through the HYBE Artist Rights Violation Report Website (protect.hybecorp.com).

"We deeply appreciate your unwavering love and support for BTS. BIGHIT MUSIC will continue to ensure that the rights of our artists are fully protected," they concluded.

Despite the ongoing legal actions, BTS remains focused on completing their military service.

Meanwhile, members Jin and J-Hope have been actively pursuing their solo careers, releasing new music, holding concerts, and sharing content videos online.

In 2023, BigHit Music reassured fans that BTS will reunite as a complete group this year, marking their long-awaited comeback.
