Seventeen's Vernon, DK announce military enlistment in August, September
DK and Vernon of Seventeen are set to fulfill their mandatory military service beginning in August and September.
The K-pop group’s agency, Pledis Entertainment, announced on WeVerse that Vernon is scheduled for enlistment on August 20, while DK will begin his military service on September 8.
“Once DK and Vernon begin their military service, they will be unable to participate in Seventeen activities,” the statement read.
“However, they will continue to connect with Carat through a variety of content prepared in advance,” it added, asking fans for their “continued love and support” for the K-pop idols.
In June, Seventeen’s Jeonghan completed his military service, while Wonwoo, Hoshi, and Woozi enlisted in 2025 and have yet to finish their duties.
Other members, Joshua, The8, and Jun, are not South Korean citizens and are not required to do mandatory military service.
In January 2025, Seventeen was in the Philippines for their “Right Here” concert tour. —Hermes Joy Tunac/JCB, GMA News
