Marimar was where it all began.
For the Philippine remake of the hit Mexican telenovela, the Kapuso couple played Marimar Perez (Marian) and Sergio Santibañez (Dingdong) in a turbulent love story that lasted 155 episodes.
While initially using her to seek revenge against his ex-girlfriend, Sergio starts to fall in love with Marimar.
When Marian and Dingdong crossed paths in this crowd-puller teleserye, their chemistry was undeniable.
Marimar quickly became a monster hit with excellent ratings throughout its run, and the DongYan tandem cemented themselves as the primetime power couple.
For the series' long-awaited finale, Marimar and Sergio tied the knot after conquering innumerable challenges in their love.
Aside from sealing the lovers' story, the one-hour episode also successfully led Marimar's ratings to peak at 52.6%.
Breathing life into a Mars Ravelo creation, Marian and Dingdong took on the story of Dyesebel and Fredo in GMA's 2008 fantaserye.
The story dives into the world of a carefree mermaid who sacrificed her tail to chase the human she fell in love with. Their storm-filled journey was far from easy, but they ultimately go against all odds in the name of love.
Dingdong and Marian continued to reign in the Philippines' primetime rating game with Dyesebel.
But the half-fish, half-human series also proved to be phenomenal in many other countries, including South Korea, Singapore, Myanmar, and Vietnam.
Making their highly-anticipated way to the big screen, Marian and Dingdong starred in a dramatic love triangle with distinguished actress Iza Calzado.
The Kapuso stars played Migs (Dingdong) and Joy (Marian), newlyweds whose life is shattered after an accident leaves the former with amnesia.
Threatening the end of their marriage, Migs began to pursue his childhood sweetheart Bela (Iza) whom he shares his last memories with.
Marian and Dingdong brought another comic into the world of television with Carlo J. Caparas's Ang Babaeng Hinugot sa Aking Tadyang.

The Kapuso primetime royalties embark on another big-screen project for a Mark Reyes-directed romantic comedy about Rafael (Dingdong), a broke bachelor who intends to use probinsyana-turned-rich girl Iska (Marian) to regain his wealth.
Eleven years after the film premiered in cinemas, 'You to Me are Everything' finally landed on Netflix in 2021, making it the first DongYan-starrer project available on the streaming giant.
Reuniting the well-loved tandem for another teleserye, 'Endless Love' added multi-awarded actor Dennis Trillo to the DongYan web as the second lead of the series.
The Pinoy adaptation of the 2000 South Korean hit series Autumn in My Heart centered on well-off siblings Johnny (Dingdong) and Jenny (Marian) who were separated after discovering that they were not related by blood.

Their fates intertwine as they navigate through love that transcends one lifetime.
After falling in love with Sharina, Arlan is punished with mortality as he takes the form of a playboy and syndicate member named Benjie.
