Nora Aunor visits Boss Toyo with her Tawag ng Tanghalan dress

Noranians probably scrambled for their wallets after the premiere of Boss Toyo's latest Pinoy Pawnstars video as the YouTube personality was visited by the Superstar herself, Nora Aunor, along with a priceless piece of memorabilia from her storied career.
Nora Aunor visited Boss Toyo and brought the same dress that she wore to the May 26, 1967 episode of Tawag ng Tanghalan where she emerged the winner. However, the Superstar clarified that she was not there to sell the dress. Rather, she wanted to raise funds for victims of typhoon Kristine, which recently ravaged the Bicol region where Nora is from.

Owing to its rarity and importance in Nora Aunor's career, Boss Toyo assessed that the outfit would easily cost PhP5 million and promised the Superstar that if she ever changes her mind and decides to sell it, he would save up for the dress and include it in the museum of memorabilia that he plans to open in January next year.

Nora Aunor is just one of the many celebrities to visit Boss Toyo to possibly sell or pawn showbiz memorabilia. Back in February, the casket that Kapuso Primetime King Dingdong Dantes used in the movie Rewind was sold to Boss Toyo for PhP250,000.
A month before that, former child actor Jiro Manio sold his Urian Best Actor trophy that he won for his performance in the 2004 independent film, Magnifico.
Jiro had initially wanted to sell the trophy for PhP500,000, but further bargaining with Boss Toyo eventually lowered the price down to PhP75,000.
“Happy po ako dahil tinanggap ni Boss Toyo yung award giving body (trophy) na pinapatago ko sa kanya para mailagay niya sa museum kung matuloy yun. Nagpapasalamat ako. Yun lang. Maraming salamat po,” said Jiro of the transaction.
