'Art is Kool' host Robert Alejandro passes away

Co-founder of specialty shop Papemelroti and former TV host Robert Alejandro just passed away. He was 60 years old.
His passing was announced on Papemelroti's Instagram page on November 5.
“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come. This means that anyone who belongs to Christ has become a new person.”
“It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Robert Alejandro. He joined Our Loving Savior on November 5, 2024.”
His family noted that while the sorrow was great, they also wanted to celebrate his life and the accomplishments and causes he made in his lifetime.
Robert was described as "a beloved brother, uncle, and friend. Robert was a vibrant, passionate spirit whose creativity, generosity, and warmth endure in the countless lives he has touched."
“As a co-founder of Papemelroti, his visionary spirit helped shape our brand into what it is today, bringing joy and inspiration to many,” the post ended.
As of writing, no details yet of his passing, including the exact cause of death, were shared.
Aside from being the co-founder of their family business, Robert was also the host of the GMA children's art show 'Art is Kool' known as Kuya Robert.
Robert has been battling colon cancer since 2016 which he once described in an interview on The Howie Severino podcast to be “absolutely a complete turnaround.”
“I'm a host on TV. I'm a children's book illustrator. I'm very good. When I'm in front of the camera, I'm working. All of that is left behind,” he said.
Robert recently made news after he accused his caregiver of two months of stealing Php 3M from his life savings.
