'The tassel's worth the hassle' – Julie Anne San Jose

By BEA RODRIGUEZ

The Asia’s Pop Sweetheart is so ready to march, flip that tassel, and toss her graduation cap in the air next week as she concludes her college journey in Angelicum College as a Communication Arts graduate of 2016.

The best part is, she graduated a Dean's lister despite being a celebrity student. “I've juggled work and studies, yet managed to survive. I definitely have to say that it's all worth it,” the actress-singer said.

During those four and a half years, Julie admitted that she was “struggling” and had a constant battle with sleepless nights, fatigue, and disappointments which she described as “transient emotions brought by much studying and lack of rest sometimes.”

The Sunday PinaSaya host learned, “I've realized it's okay to admit I wasn't perfect. I've learned that it pays not to worry so much about where you ranked but rather think about the joy you get with what you do.”

She even pondered about her 22 years of existence, “Life doesn't offer us a smooth path. There will always be tough times, regrets and failures as well as success, reward, and happiness.”

The Pepito Manaloto star thanked her family, friends as well as her professors who were there to inspire, guide and impart wisdom all throughout the years. She added, “Lastly, God for the blessings and the wonderful gift of knowledge.”

Julie concluded, “It's been a long road but with hard work and patience, anything is possible. This is certainly a huge milestone. The tassel's worth the hassle.”
