EXCLUSIVE: How does Mikee Quintos feel about being called the most promising star in GMA?
Encantadia actress Mikee Quintos admits feeling awkward when people call her one of the most promising stars of the Kapuso network.

In an exclusive interview by GMANetwork.com with the talented singer/actress, during her guesting in Sikat sa Barangay at Barangay LS 97.1 this Thursday morning, February 15, Mikee couldn’t believe that she reached this point in her career despite being a newbie.
She explained, “Hindi pa siya nagsi-sink in… Hindi naman eh, parang ganun ‘yung reaction na feeling. But, parang ang bilis lang ng lahat from the start kasi, first show ko nga po ito ever and hindi ko ini-expect na magiging ganito din.”
“But then, grabe super thankful ako kay Lord na binigay niya sa akin ito and sa lahat ng na-meet ko from day one and lahat ng nakasama ko. The good and bad experiences I’m thankful.”
Mikee won the hearts of millions of viewers with her portrayal of Sang’gre Amihan’s daughter, Lira.
But it was not smooth sailing for Mikee because at the beginning of Encantadia there were bashers who doubted if such a novice could effectively portray the role of Lira previously played by Ultimate Star Jennylyn Mercado.
How did Mikee handle her bashers?
“'Cause from the start naman po I kept on praying na kung para sa akin po ito, kung plano po n’yo ito for me Lord tatanggapin ko, kasi hindi naman po siguro siya magbibigay ng something sa atin lahat in life as in kahit ano'ng problem na dumaan. Hindi niya ibibigay sa atin na hindi natin kayang lagpasan.”
“Yun ‘yung inisip ko lang na maybe it's for me, so ayoko siyang ma-let down dun, so I just gave my all and kahit ako sa sarili ko na-doubt ko dahil sa dami na nagda-doubt nun. But then, dun ako nag-stay na lang na hindi iyon ibibigay ni Lord sa iyo if hindi mo kaya.”
