EXCLUSIVE: Mel Tiangco says Alden Richards has a heart for public service

Alden Richards donated a part of his concert proceeds to GMA’s socio-civic organization, but it came with no surprise for Mel Tiangco as she believes that the Pambansang Bae has a heart for public service.

Tiangco, who is the Founder and Ambassador of Kapuso Foundation, expressed her appreciation towards the Pambansang Bae’s kind and humble gesture.

She praised Alden, saying, “Syempre natutuwa kami but then you know we’re all in this network ‘di ba, and alam mo isa si Alden sa mga artista natin na napakadaling hilingan. Oo agad siya 'pag alam niyang for public service at para sa kapakanan ng mga mahihirap. Hindi siya mahirap kumbinsihin."

Alden turned over a check to the foundation earlier today, July 19, and it will primarily benefit students affected by the bridge reconstructions in Camarines Sur.

“I’m not surprised you know that he chose the foundation to be the beneficiary of his concert and that I’m very, very thankful. Sa GMA Records, thank you din. Thank you very much. And to all of you, thank you, thank you,” Tiangco said.
