READ: Nar Cabico on Jennylyn Mercado: 'She changed my life'

By Cherry Sun

Nar Cabico and Jennylyn Mercado show that having a genuine friendship precedes the length of time they have known each other.

The two Kapuso artists have only grown a deeper bond via the GMA-adapted Korean series My Love From the Star but Nar can already claim that Jennylyn has already changed her life.

Nar shared at the press conference for his first single “Gaga” how Jennylyn became so instrumental in producing his music.

“‘Ako na. Ako na ‘yan. Ako na. Wala ka nang gagastusin, punta ka na lang sa studio,” he recalled the actress’ words when he admitted his frustration in releasing his compositions into the mainstream.

“I’m entirely a different person now, in a good way. Parang lahat ng previous doubts ko, ‘yung mga uncertainty, parang ‘Kaya ko ba ‘to?’ Mga ganun. Wala, wala na. Okay na,” Nar continued.

He also added that Jennylyn’s kind gesture has produced a domino effect.

Nar said, “After the show, October 1, about four people have pledged to produce songs for me. So talagang exponentially, maganda ‘yung naging effect. People just offered their services. Si John Batalla, one of the leading lighting designers did a show for me for free. Sound system for free, styling for free. So much people offered everything for free.”

“I have to thank Jennylyn Mercado. She has ignited everything in my life. She is the ultimate friend, hindi lang siya Ultimate Star. I love you, Jen,” he concluded.
