MUST-READ: Koreanovelas to watch for in 2018

Four Korean dramas are set to air in the Kapuso network this coming 2018, namely Bride of the Water God, While You Were Sleeping, Ruler of the Mask, and Love in Trouble.

Bride of the Water God is the love story of the Water God and his human servant. This fantasy romantic comedy stars Nam Joo Hyuk who previously starred in Scarlet Heart. He also recently visited the Philippines for a meet and greet event.

Meanwhile, While You Were Sleeping is a fantasy drama series starring I Hear Your Voice's Lee Jong Suk. The story will revolve around a woman who can see accidents occurring in the future through her dreams and a prosecutor who will try to stop those dreams become reality.

Set in 18th century Joseon, Ruler of the Mask tells the fictional story of Crown Prince Lee Sun and his fight against the powerful and wealthy organization, Pyunsoohwe. The series was a big winner in the 10th Korean Drama Awards, bagging the Best Drama and Best Screenwriter awards.

Also airing in 2018 is Love in Trouble, which stars Ji Chang Wook, who appeared in Smile Dong Hae and Empress Ki. The series is about a prosecutor and his trainee and how they will work together on a mysterious case involving a sly psychopath murderer.
