LOOK: Glaiza de Castro receives award as a women's rights advocate

Kapuso actress Glaiza de Castro was among the personalities who were recognized in the Gawad Filipino Year-End Awards held on Monday, December 18.

The Contessa star received the Media People's Choice Award for being an Outstanding Women’s Rights and Protection Advocate.

On her Instagram account, Glaiza thanked the award-giving body for recognizing her contribution.

"Di ko akalaing bukod sa pag-arte at pagkanta, makakatanggap ako ng panibagong parangal. Maraming salamat muli Gawad Pilipino sa patuloy na pagkilala na walang hinihinging kapalit. At sa UN Women, Safe Cities Manila sa pagbibigay ng impormasyon at pagtulong para magkaroon ng mas ligtas na lugar ang mga kababaihan," she wrote in the caption.
