GMA Network brings powerhouse line-up to Cebu's Sinulog Festival
GMA Network, through its regional arm GMA Regional TV, joins the colorful celebration of Sinulog Festival by bringing today’s hottest Kapuso artists to Cebu this weekend, January 19 to 21, headlined by no less than Asia’s Songbird Regine Velasquez-Alcasid.
Off to charm the Queen City of the South are the casts of the newly-launched romantic-comedy series The One That Got Away; the enthralling drama series Kambal, Karibal; and the upcoming original primetime series Sherlock, Jr.
GMA’s Premier Drama Actress Lovi Poe and Kapuso Drama King Dennis Trillo banner the Kapuso Mall Show on January 19 (Friday) at the Gaisano Island Mall Mactan at 3 p.m. The two actors star in The One That Got Away, which is set to make Kapuso viewers believe in love, family, friendship, and all the craziness that goes with it.
Joining the afternoon’s treat as well are the lead stars of Kambal, Karibal—Miguel Tanfelix and Bianca Umali. The Kapuso primetime drama series is a riveting tale of family and love that transcends into the supernatural realm.
Adding more glitz to the Kapuso Mall Show is Sherlock, Jr.’s lead star Ruru Madrid and his co-star in the series Matt Evans. The newest GMA Telebabad offering, which will premiere on January 29, sees the reunion on the small screen of Ruru and Gabbi Garcia. Filled with action and drama, Sherlock, Jr. is a story about the friendship between an investigative reporter and a dog.
They will all proceed to The Terraces in Ayala Center Cebu later on for a Kapuso Fiesta at 6 p.m.
On Saturday (January 20), Cebuanos will be treated to an exceptional musical treat as GMA brings the ground-breaking concert series “3 Stars, 1 Heart” featuring the powerhouse trio ofAsia’s Songbird Regine Velasquez-Alcasid, Asia’s Balladeer Christian Bautista, and Asia’s Pop Sweetheart Julie Anne San Jose. A collaboration of GMA RTV with GMA Entertainment Content Group (ECG), the first leg of “3 Stars, 1 Heart” will be held at the Waterfront Hotel and Casino. Show starts at 8 p.m.
Come Sunday (January 21), the rest of the stars of The One That Got Away will board the Kapuso Float and tour the major streets of Cebu City during the Sinulog Grand Parade. Multi-talented actress/TV host Rhian Ramos and versatile leading lady Max Collins will be joined by GMA leading men Ivan Dorschner, Migo Adecer, and new Kapuso Jason Abalos.
GMA Cebu will also have a live coverage of the Sinulog Grand Parade beginning at 10 a.m. The “Pit Senyor: The Balitang Bisdak Special Live Coverage” will be hosted by “Balitang Bisdak” anchors Alan Domingo and Cecile Quibod-Castro, together with Balitang Bisdak’s roster of correspondents Chona Carreon, Lou Ann Mae Rondina, and Nikko Sereno.
Online, the “Pit Senyor: The Balitang Bisdak Special Live Coverage” will be telecast via livestream from 10 a.m. on www.gmanetwork.com/regionaltv.
