Miss Universe 2018 Catriona Gray offers crown as Christmas gift to Filipinos

Newly crowned Miss Universe 2018 Catriona Gray was still a little overwhelmed on her first interview in the Chi Lounge after the coronation night held in Bangkok, Thailand, on Monday, December 17.

In a quick interview, Catriona was asked, “What is the first thing you're gonna do now that you're the Miss Universe?”

She replied, “I just wanna hug my parents. I just saw them at the back there. I just wanna give them a big hug, and see my team to just say thank you.

“I couldn't have done this without so many different people. So many different effort and time of different people, I just wanna say thank you to them.”

Catriona also took this opportunity to thank her fans who have stayed with her throughout her Miss Universe journey.

“Sa lahat ng Pilipino and all the fans, thank you so much for the love and support thus far,” she said.

Catriona also offers her crown as Christmas gift to fellow Filipinos.

“Wow, mga kababayan, I'm so happy to give you the best Christmas gift ever,” she said.
