Armida Siguion-Reyna passes away at 88

Iconic singer-actress Armida Siguion-Reyna passed away on Monday, February 11, at the age of 88.

The unfortunate news was confirmed by Armida's niece, Katrina Ponce-Enrile.

DZBB reporter Nimfa Ravelo posted on Twitter a message from Katrina, “We were all saddened upon learning about Tita Armida's passing but comforted by the fact that Tita Armida went peacefully.

“I had to break the news to my Dad. He was quiet for a long time and said we have to all prays for Tita Armida. Paulit ulit niyang sinasabi sa akin 'yun. We will miss her very much.”

Meanwhile, Armida's son, actor-director Carlos Siguion-Reyna, chose to relive her memory through a beautiful photo.

The entertainment industry is mourning the passing of the veteran actress and former Movie and Television Review and Classification Board (MTRCB) chairwoman.
