Tumatanaw ng utang na loob ang Kapuso leading man na si Derek Ramsay sa break na ipinagkaloob sa kaniya ng longest-running noontime show na Eat Bulaga noong nagsisimula pa lang siya sa showbiz.

Bago nanalo sa MTV VJ Hunt, unang napanood si Derek sa segment na "Pool Watch" ng multi-awarded Kapuso noontime show.

Sa panayam sa kaniya ng GMA-7 press, matapos ang contract signing niya kahapon, April 3, binanggit ng Kapuso actor ang naitulong ng Eat Bulaga para mabuo ang "confidence" niya sa kanyang sarili.

Ani Derek, “Almost definitely malaki ang utang na loob ko sa kanila with just my short stint in Eat Bulaga gave me that confidence to believe in myself na I can be in front of the camera and do these things.

“Yes it's not acting but it was still to be comfortable in front of the lights, in front of so many people and they were always good to me,”

Pag-iisipan din daw niya nang mabuti na bumalik sa Eat Bulaga lalo na kung may offer ang noontime show na ipinagdiriwang ang kanilang 40th anniversary this year.

“Everytime I got invited even for Ryzza Mae Show I'd always say 'yes' and if they ask me if I'd like to come back to Eat Bulaga it's something I'll definitely consider if time permitting. Kung wala akong ginagawang teleserye, why not?”

Sa ngayon, mas focused si Derek sa first Kapuso soap niya na Better Woman kung saan makakasama niya si Andrea Torres.

“But for now I know with the Better Woman we are going to be pushing hard, three times a week and then my location pa kami na Siargao yata kami magshu-shoot it would be hard to do a daily show like that, but if tapos na 'yung teleserye and I have a gap between projects and they ask me to be a part of it, most definitely.”
