GMA Regional TV celebrates Dagupan City's Bangus Festival
Summer just got hotter as GMA Network--through its regional arm GMA Regional TV (RTV)--celebrates this year's Bangus Festival by bringing some of today's most sought-after actors to Pangasinan for a series of shows.
On Tuesday (April 30), capping off the month-long celebration of Dagupan City's biggest festival are the casts of Love You Two, Inagaw na Bituin, and Dahil sa Pag-Ibig who will banner the Kapuso Night in New De Venecia Highway at 7 pm.
Inagaw na Bituin's Kyline Alcantara and Therese Malvar together with their co-actor Manolo Pedrosa, will bring kilig to the GMA Stage as the three Kapuso young stars treat their Dagupeño fans.
Meanwhile, fresh from the successful pilot airing of their latest rom-com series Love You Two are Shaira Diaz, Yasser Marta, and Kiray Celis who are excited to give their fans a good time as well.
Showing the Kapuso viewers a glimpse of what to expect from their upcoming project are Sanya Lopez, Devon Seron, and Pancho Magno of Dahil sa Pag-ibig.
The Kapuso Night will be hosted by Pepito Manaloto's John Feir.
On the same day, GMA Regional TV will also hold a Kapuso Meet and Greet at CSI Dagupan Mall Helipad during the Bangusan Street Party. Donita Nose and Boobay will host the event.
Finally, on Wednesday (May 1), The Clash alumnus Anthony Rosaldo will serenade the finalists of Bangus Festival's Bangus Sireyna at Dagupan City Plaza.
The month-long celebration of Bangus Festival kicked-off last April 6 with GMA Network's musical variety show Studio 7 bringing its live concert 'Musikalye' to the City of Dagupan via Kapuso Concerts presents Studio 7: Musikalye in Dagupan. A jam-packed CSI Dagupan Mall Grounds featured the show's cast of performers - Christian Bautista, Julie Anne San Jose, Mark Bautista, Aicelle Santos, Gabbi Garcia, Rayver Cruz, Kyline, Migo Adecer, Mikee Quintos, Kate Valdez, Golden Cañedo, Jong Madaliday, Garrett Bolden, and Mirriam Manalo. They were joined by Ken Chan, Jo Berry, Jeric Gonzales, Sanya Lopez, Rodjun Cruz, Matthias Rhoads, Hannah Precillas, Kyryll, Lyra Micolob, Esterlina Olmedo, Chichirita, and The Juans as special guests. Celebrity moms Sunshine Dizon and Camille Prats also paid tribute to moms with a special feature on the inspiring mothers of Dagupan.
Last April 12, Kapuso actor Rocco Nacino led the Kapuso Float participation during the “Gilon gilon ed Dalan"--the Bangus Festival's street dancing competition. Joining Rocco in spreading treat along the major streets of Dagupan City were Love You Two's Clint Bondad and Hiram na Anak's Paolo Contis, Dion Ignacio, Sef Cadayona, and Vaness del Moral.
This is the 11th year that GMA Network has been tapped as strategic partner by the City of Dagupan for its annual Bangus Festival. GMA's Vice President and Head of Regional TV Oli Amoroso and Dagupan City Mayor Belen Fernandez led the Strategic Partnership Signing Ceremony between GMA Regional TV and the City Government of Dagupan last March 22 at the Dagupan City Museum in Pangasinan.

More importantly, we've realized the value of strategic partnerships between media and the government for regional development. Our partnership with the City of Dagupan was and will always be inspired by our shared hopes and goals to promote the City of Dagupan to the Philippines and the world,” Amoroso said. “We thank the City Government of Dagupan for trusting GMA Regional TV. We are also grateful to all our Kapusong Dagupeños for continuing to support all the Kapuso programs and personalities,” he added.
