In a sitdown interview with GMANetwork.com, the showbiz newcomer recalled his hardships before achieving his dream of becoming an artist.

Citing the struggles he experienced in the past, Kelvin pointed out that it has taught him to become more driven. "Nag-audition, pumila, nag-go-see, dumaan po ako sa stage na 'yun," he said. Thankful, sobra."

From portraying support roles in such GMA shows, the 18-year-old actor got the opportunity to take the lead role of Mark Sta. Maria in the upcoming mystery thriller film, Dead Kids, directed by acclaimed indie filmmaker Mikhail Red.

At one point, Kelvin admitted he has doubted himself when he auditioned for the big role.
