David Licauco, Shaira Diaz continue to spread kilig in Wattpad-based film 'Because I Love You'

After their digital movie One Hugot Away, Kapuso actors David Licauco and Shaira Diaz team up for an another kilig-filled movie titled Because I Love You.

David and Shaira will give a millennial twist to the rich boy-poor girl love story directed by the award-winning director Joel Lamangan.

"It's a once in a lifetime opportunity.

"I've never expected in my life na magkakaroon ako ng sariling movie na lead ako.

"Really grateful for GMA and my ALV family," David shared in a bloggers' conference held last June 6 at 1771 Events Place in Ortigas Center, Pasig.

For her part, Shaira shared how flattered she is over their fans who continue to ship their love team even though they have been paired with different artists.

"Happy kami and excited pero we're happier and more excited para sa fans namin kasi dalawang beses lang kami nagsama sa TV, 'yung Magpakailaman tsaka 'yung One Hugot Away.

"Matagal nasundan pero natuwa kami nand'yan para rin sila and every time na lumalabas kami sa TV, parang nakaka-gain pa kami ng more fans."

Shaira also added, "Nakakatuwa kasi nagugustuhan nila 'yung tamabalan namin and this time sa big screen na.

"Kasi 'yung One Hugot Away, digital siya, short film lang siya na 10 -15 minutes, so bitin na bitin sila.

"So ito, happy kami na ipapalabas na 'yung Because I Love You kasi, for sure, masusulit na nila na mapanood kami."

Because I Love You is based on the Wattpad story written by Charlotte Dianco.

The pair assures that the viewers, especially the millennials, will get the same kilig vibes in the movie.

David and Shaira said, "Itong movie na 'to is from Wattpad.

"Ang daming readers ng Wattpad, so maraming makaka-relate and sobrang in ngayon ng K-dramas so dito nila makikita 'yung Pinoy flavor."

Shaira also pointed out, "Same writer din po kasi no'ng ginawa siya for movie kaya masisigurado naming walang nabago sa paggawa ng movie based sa book."

With the number of rom-com films released lately, David and Shaira shared why Because I Love You is different from the other movies.

"Medyo common siya pero 'yung characters namin dito is hindi parehas sa ibang movie na lumabas o mga pinalalabas ngayon.

"Isa ring edge ng movie na ito is may makakita naman silang bagong mukha.

"Maraming bago sa movie na 'to na dapat nilang makita.

"Pinaghandaan, ginastusan, maganda rin 'yung effort at suporta ng management at ng GMA so I think worth it siyang panoorin."
