The movie, set in modern times, underscores the importance of self-love and acceptance among millennials amid the pressures of social media and current social standards.

Kyline plays the role of Ikay, a young teen who suffers from vitiligo a skin condition where pale white patches develop on the skin due to lack of melanin.

“Dahil nga po sa kanyang skin condition, mababa po 'yung tingin niya sa sarili niya and wala siyang confidence,” she reveals to 24 Oras reporter Nelson Canlas.

Upon discovering the magical black lipstick, which makes her skin look normal upon application, her character decides to lead a double life and assumes the identity of Jessie -- a social media influencer.

Furthermore, the 17-year-old actress hopes for the movie to do well in cinemas.

“Kaunti lang po 'yung excitement, mas more of pressured and kinakabahan sa outcome ng movie kasi I really wanted this movie to be successful para sa aming lahat.”
