EXCLUSIVE: Why does Jose Mari Chan always sing his Christmas songs in his concerts abroad even if it's not Christmas?
The Father of Philippine Christmas music Jose Mari Chan shared with GMANetwork.com an interesting piece of trivia about the concerts that he does abroad.

Mr. Chan revealed that he would never end his concerts without singing one of his Christmas songs. And he would do it even if it's not the Holiday season.
He explained that he wants to ease the loneliness of our fellow kababayans that's why he would always sing his signature Christmas single.
He believes that his music 'touches the hearts' of many Filipinos.
“Every time I have a concert abroad whether it's in the Middle East or Australia or in the U.S. or in Europe, invariably whether it's December or not, I'd include my Christmas songs.
“Because I know that it touches the hearts of the Pinoys abroad. They miss their families at home and they miss their loved ones they left behind.”
He also shared his thoughts on why Christmas celebration in the Philippines is simply the best.
Mr. Chan said, “Well because it is essentially centered around the family… So, we grew up spending Christmas with our family unlike in the U.S. for example they don't say Merry Christmas they say Happy Holidays. And they talk to Santa Claus and Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer.”
Jose Mari Chan will also help usher in the holiday vibes this coming weekend via the grand Shopee 11.11 Big Christmas TV Special, which will be airing on GMA-7 and Shopee Live on November 10 at 10:30 p.m.
This festive Christmas special will also feature the brightest stars of GMA-7, including Asia's Multimedia star Alden Richards, Maine Mendoza, Julie Anne San Jose, Gabbi Garcia, Senator Manny "Pacman" Pacquiao, and Heart Evangelista, to name a few.
According to Jose Mari Chan, people should look forward to his duet with Asia's Pop Diva Julie Anne San Jose.
“We are gathering some of the biggest stars of GMA and I will be there. And I will be singing some of my Christmas songs and a duet with Julie Anne [San Jose].
“So I'm really excited to promote Shopee as their Christmas ambassador on my second year. [I'm ] very excited!”
