READ: Arnold Clavio reveals puppet Arn-Arn will soon be making a comeback

In celebration of Unang Hirit's 20th year on Philippine television, Arnold “Igan” Clavio, one of the show's pioneer hosts, revealed that his puppet and alter-ego Arn-arn will soon be making a comeback.

During the media conference of the Unang Hirit barkada earlier today, November 26, the multi-awarded journalist bared that he is planning to reintroduce an improved Arn-arn.

This time, the well-loved puppet with be imparting social awareness, different from the previous Arn-arn that only teaches alphabet and numbers.

“Gusto kong magkaroon ng puppet na socially aware in a way na magandang nakakatawa,” Clavio said.

“Kasi minsan mayroon akong hindi puwedeng sabihin, na dapat siya ang magsabi.

“Matatawa ka, pero may dating eh. 'Yun ang gusto ko para kay Arn-arn.”

The Unang Hirit host also revealed that the “Good News, Bad News” segment where Arn-arn appeared was immediately scrapped because of the backlash it received from a few government officials.

“'Yung mga punchline niya kasi ay kakaiba. 'Pag dinemanda mo 'yung puppet ng libel, mas puppet ka,” he said.

While he promised the big time comeback of Arn-arn, Clavio proudly stated that Arn-Arn is the first of its kind to interview a president. In its case, former President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo in 2015.
