EXCLUSIVE: Paolo Valenciano reveals magic of 'The Sweetheart and The Balladeer' concert tour
Paolo Valenciano is working with the same line-up of artists for the third leg of 'The Sweetheart and The Balladeer Fun Night Only,' and he is confident that they can pull off a great show.
The same Kapuso talents namely Julie Anne San Jose, Christian Bautista, Donita Nose, Tekla, and Kyline Alcantara will headline of the third leg of 'The Sweetheart and The Balladeer Fun Night Only.'
The concert is set to happen at the Urdaneta City Cultural and Sports Center in Pangasinan on February 8.
According to the director, he wants the upcoming installment of the Kapuso concert done the way they did it previously.
Paolo said in an exclusive interview with GMANetwork.com, “I wouldn't have it any other way. I felt like when we did 'yung unang ' [The] Sweetheart [and The Balladeer Fun Night Only],' we studied it, we looked at how the audience responded, we looked at the strengths and the weaknesses, and we were able to tweak it for the second show.
“So nung nag-second show kami, medyo polished na siya. The artists, mas comfortable na sila on stage, the rapport, the chemistry. You really feel like nag-e-enjoy sila.
"When the audience sees na nag-e-enjoy 'yung artists, mas naa-appreciate din ng audiences natin. For this one, I was a little worried. Akala ko may tatanggalin sa line-up, may idadagdag, and I really begged them sana wag na natin palitan masyado kasi sobrang nag-work siya.”
While they maintained the same line-up of performers, Paolo assured that they have updated and improved some production numbers.
However, he still emphasized that he wishes for the audience in Pangasinan to have the same quality of entertainment the five Kapuso artists delivered in their previous concert.
He explained, “'Yung pinaka-highlight nung second show in particular, we wanted to make sure that we could give them the same experience that was, in my opinion, very effective. It was so much fun. Sumakit 'yung tiyan ko sa kakatawa.
"Even though I knew what was gonna happen, you know Donita and Tekla I love working with them 'cause you know it's never the same show. Even if you tell them to do the same thing, it's never the same show, and I think that's part of the magic of this project.”
