Jillian Ward, Glaiza de Castro, and other celebrities celebrate International Women's Day

Kapuso tween actress and Prima Donnas star Jillian Ward joined the celebration of International Women's Day last March 8.

In a post on Instagram, Jillian reminded her followers that their gender, sexuality, age, and race should not be a factor in achieving their dreams.

“Happy women's day! May we all live life in full bloom,” she wrote in the caption.

“Always remember that your gender, sexuality, age, or race should never stop you from having a beautiful life.

“Everyday should be everyone's day. So, happy human's day! Your dreams matter.”

Also on Instagram, multi-talented Kapuso actress Glaiza de Castro celebrated women empowerment.

“Happy International Women's Day to all the strong and undaunted women of the world!” she said.

Meanwhile, newlywed actress Sheena Halili praised the four new women in her life, her sisters-in-law.

“Cheers to the four new women in my life! Happy International Women's Day!” the caption read.

Actress Sarah Lahbati also shared an inspiration quote to celebrate the event.

“'Believe that you are great, kind, beautiful, strong, smart and worthy. always remember that you are meant to do great things.' Happy international women's day,” she wrote in the caption.

It was in 1977 when the United Nations General Assembly celebrated International Women's Day on March 8 for the first time.
