Kim Woo Bin donates to kids with cancer

Actor Kim Woo Bin donates his talent fee from 'Humanimal' to children with cancer.

South Korean actor Kim Woo Bin once again made a generous donation to children with cancer.

He donated his full talent fee, which he earned from narrating a recent MBC documentary Humanimal, to the Korea Childhood Leukemia Foundation.

"Actor Kim Woo Bin decided to donate after hearing that children with cancer, whose immune system has weakened due to chemotherapy, are having trouble getting masks with coronavirus," a statement from his agency AM Entertainment reads, as translated by Korean entertainment site AllKpop.

Kim Woo Bin was diagnosed with nasopharyngeal cancer in May 2017 and went on hiatus to focus on his health and getting treatment.

He resumed his activities in November 2019 as he appeared as a presenter at the 40th Blue Dragon Film Awards. A much-awaited fan meeting followed shortly in December 2019.

His participation as the narrator of Humanimal back in January this year marked his return to television.

Kim Woo Bin is also set to begin filming for science fiction film Alien this March.

He is also among the South Korean celebrities who gave generous donations to combat COVID-19 in their country.
