Maine Mendoza raises more than half a million pesos for daily wage earners

Phenomenal Star Maine Mendoza announced on Wednesday (March 25) that her DoNation drive has already accumulated a total of P587,677.92, seven days after she launched it on March 20.

The actress also shared with her followers that as of March 25, her team already distributed the donation to a group of daily wage earners including the drivers, house helpers, street sweepers, security guards, technicians, online sellers, and farmers among others.

Her team also helped the homeless and unemployed, as well as the janitors and single parents.

All in all, they have distributed the donation to 587 individuals or families.

True to her words, Maine has provided a summary of transactions for transparency purposes.

The Eat Bulaga host mobilized a DoNation drive in order to help daily wage earners who are not allowed to work during enhanced community quarantine due to 2019 coronavirus disease (COVID-19) pandemic.

She launched the drive through the blog she created that reads, “I will be launching my DoNation Drive to help in my own little way, those who are greatly affected by this catastrophe.”
