Actress Angel Locsin announced on her Instagram that her team has procured sanitation tents with misting machine and UV light for medical frontliners, using the money that they received from donations.

Angel announced the good news on her Instagram account.

She wrote, “Mula po sa inyong donasyon nitong mga nakaraang araw, we have also purchased and donated this sanitation tent with misting machine and UV light for our frontliners sa PGH.”

The actress then reminded the public to keep holding on to their hopes of overcoming this crisis.

“We still have a long way to go, pero wala pong pagsubok na hindi natin kakayanin basta't tulung-tulong tayo,” she added.

As of today, March 31, one of the sanitation tents was erected at the Philippine General Hospital.

Angel has been working relentlessly for the safety of frontliners since the start of the Luzon-wide enhanced community quarantine due to 2019 coronavirus disease (COVID-19) crisis in the country.

Angel, who has been recognized as one of Forbes Asia's 'Hero of Philanthropy,' also spearheaded the construction of comfortable and well-sanitized sleeping quarters for health workers.

She also started a fundraising campaign called #UniTENTweStandPH aiming to provide additional tents for patients who need immediate treatments since most of the hospitals have reached their full capacity due to increasing coronavirus cases.

Despite her efforts to help, a certain “sociologist” claimed that her recent charity works are just for publicity.

Her fiancée, Neil Arce, learned of this and immediately came to the defense of the actress.

“I dont expect everyone to believe In the sincerity of the things we do.

"But if the people, our students are supposed to learn from think this way then our country will never really have a chance to prosper,” Neil said.
