Neil Arce defends Angel Locsin from claim that 'her sincerity is fake'

By Dianara Alegre

Neil Arce defends her fiancée actress Angel Locsin from a "sociologist" who said that the latter's charity efforts are fake.

The professor further said that he's not impressed by Angel, whom he described as an overpaid actress who is only doing charity work for "publicity and self-promotion."

Neil posted the screenshot of the professor's rant on his Facebook account on Friday, March 27, and said, “First of all my fiancé is not trying to impress anyone so it doesn't really matter to us if you were Not impressed.”

Part of the basher's rant stated that he'd rather praise the lowly hardworking frontliners who are underpaid than “boastful teleserye stars” who he claimed to be self-centered.

Neil fired back, “Yes I agree with you I myself would rather praise frontliners who are risking their lives everyday.

"This is The reason why we are doing this to help our frontliners by making sure they are protected, making sure they can rest and by making sure we do everything we can to make their lives easier."

The professor further claimed that as a sociologist s/he could tell that the actress' sincerity was actually fake.

“I can feel that Angel Locsin is NOT genuine, I am not dumb, I am a sociologist, I know her sincerity is fake!"

Neil answered, “I dont expect everyone to believe In the sincerity of the things we do. But if the people, our students are supposed to learn from think this way then our country will never really have a chance to prosper."

Angel has been working relentlessly for the frontliners since the start of Luzon-wide enhanced community quarantine due to 2019 coronavirus disease (COVID-19) crisis in the country.

Part of Angel's efforts was the construction of sleeping quarters for the health workers that was built near the hospitals so that they'll have a comfortable and well-sanitized resting area.

She also started a fundraising campaign called #UniTENTweStandPH aiming to provide additional tents for patients who need immediate treatments since most of the hospitals have reached their capacities due to COVID-19 cases.

Three days after the #UniTENTweStandPH launch, it already accumulated more than three million pesos to be distributed to 28 hospitals in Metro Manila, Tarlac, Cavite, Laguna, Rizal, and Batangas.
