Bianca Umali gets sentimental remembering her late parents

By Dianara Alegre

Bianca Umali poured her heart out as she commemorated her mother's birthday and father's death anniversary, on Friday, May 8.

The Kapuso actress lost her mom to cancer in 2005 when she was only five years old and her father died of a heart attack five years later.

Today [May8], Bianca became sentimental as she shared that both her “guardian angels” share the same day, one for birth and the other for death.

“Every year, May 8th, for me, comes and goes, happily and painfully.

“Today is my mommy's 59th birthday, marking my daddy's 10th year up in heaven with her. I don't share often. But today, today feels different and so I just wanted to say...life is just so short and unpredictable," Bianca wrote.

She also advised her followers to cherish every moment of their lives, even in difficult times.

“Life is not the way it's supposed to be... it's the way it is... the way we cope with it, is what makes the difference. Life is short, time is fast, no replay, no rewind, so make the most out of every moment as it comes."

Having experienced loss at a very young age, Bianca has quite some values she lives by.

“Three things I have learned and live by: be kind, appreciate the simple things in life, say "I love you" while you can,” she noted.

Bianca then greeted her beloved mommy she calls “angel.”

“Mommy, happy birthday. I wish I could tell you how much you mean to me... but there are no words to describe how much I admire you, how much I appreciate you, how much I thank you... for everything.

“I will never have enough time here on Earth to repay all the love you have poured into me. I love you,” Bianca said.

“Daddy, this long... already?

“For all those times I left it unsaid. Thank you for being both a mother and a father. For being there for me, for showing the way.

“For being patient with me even when I made it difficult for you, for believing in me and encouraging me to dream and being such an inspiring presence in my life. I'm a proud 'buntot ng daddy', a daddy's girl. I love you.

“Missing you both more every second of every single day. Everything I am is for and because of you. Stay inlove. Mahal na mahal ko kayo. Until we meet again,” Bianca ends.

Meanwhile, friends in the entertainment industry and fans showered Bianca with heartfelt messages.
