A star-studded cast awaits the rerun presentation of the military musical Return: The Promise of the Day.

Return: The Promise of the Day is an original army musical that tells a story of military veteran Seung Ho and his search for the remains of his comrades who died in battle during the Korean War.

Scenes from the present-day Seung Ho and the young Seung Ho will play alternately throughout the musical.

Earlier today, the musical confirmed that present-day war veteran Seung Ho will be played by Lee Jun Yul and Lee Gun Myung. While the young Seung Ho will be played by EXO's D.O. and Yoon Ji Sung.

Furthermore, fellow EXO member Xiumin together with FTIsland's Lee Hong Ki will play Seung Ho's grandson Hyun Min.

Fans may recall that Xiumin previously played the role of the young Seung Ho in an earlier run of the same production.

This year, the musical will honor the 70th anniversary of the Korean War wherein more than 3 million soldiers fought and sacrificed their lives in battle.

The musical is scheduled to run from June 4 to July 12 at the Olympic Park's Woori Art Hall in Seoul.

As per advised by the South Korean government, the musical will be following social distancing protocols and place empty seats between people to prevent the spread of the novel coronavirus to ensure the audience's safety.
