
A live-action TV series version of Hollywood film Percy Jackson is underway according to the story's author Rick Riordan.
The big announcement was made on Twitter on May 15 by Rick and his wife Becky.

“We can't say much more at this stage but we are very excited about the idea of a live-action series of the highest quality, following the storyline of the original Percy Jackson five-book series, starting with The Lightning Thief in Season 1,” Rick said in a follow-up tweet.

The Percy Jackson series picks up from where Percy Jackson realizes that his father is the Greek god Poseidon.
Two films from the book series have been released--Percy Jackson & the Olympians: The Lightning Thief in 2010 and Percy Jackson: Sea of Monsters in 2013.
