Everybody's K-drama oppa, Park Seo-joon, surprised his fans yesterday when he went live to unbox his Gold Play Button from YouTube after hitting the 1 million subscriber mark in the video-sharing platform.

During the 23-minute live session, Park Seo-joon thanked his staff members for continually pushing the boundaries for his channel.

He said, “I think I achieved this because of all the people who appeared on my videos and the staff members. They edit my videos through the night but I think I haven't done much. Thank you to those who have been curious about my life. I have never thought that I could receive this Gold Play Button.”

According to TopStar News, Park Seo-joon is the first South Korean actor to have one million subscribers.

He opened his YouTube channel in July last year featuring his busy schedule as he promotes his flick Lion.

In October, he showed a nine-minute clip of his trip to the Philippines as part of his meet and greet for a local clothing brand.

Park Seo-joon is currently busy filming for his upcoming flick Dream together with singer-songwriter IU.

On May 8, the two were reported to have started their first table read with director Lee Byung Hun.

Dream tells the story of a team trying out for the Homeless World Cup, an international soccer event. Park Seo-joon will be playing the role of Yoon Hong-dae, a professional soccer player on probation after getting embroiled in a scandal.

Meanwhile, IU will be playing Lee So-min, a production head who dreams of getting a big break from filming a documentary about Yoon Hong-dae's unconventional soccer team.
