Alessandra De Rossi defends Heart Evangelista, 'Tigilan n'yo si Heart.'
Actress Alessandra de Rossi defended Queen of Creative Collaborations Heart Evangelista from a netizen who called the latter's “new normal” distasteful and irrelevant, on Friday, June 5.
The fashion mogul retweeted a post from a netizen who tagged her new normal which, according to the post, is a revamp of fashion trends with the use of fashionable PPEs, masks and jewelries, irrelevant to what is the country really deals with these days.
“Your hashtags and posts are so problematic. The 'new normal' our country is facing is not your normal.
"Wake up, Heart. You have the platform, power and position to do something relevant and different for people.
“Your clothes, coiffed hair, and expensive jewelries don't reflect the realities of what we're all facing right now. It's distasteful and out of touch.
“And I certainly hope you don't intend to keep these as your 'new normal.' Wake up!,” Twitter user Pilar Recto said.
Taken aback, Heart retweeted the said post and aired her side.
She wrote, “You have caused me so much sadness. I honestly don't know what to do about myself. Two days you've been at it. I express myself through my art and fashion.
“I have not done anything wrong. Using my image to create hate is wrong. Still, I will wish you well.”
Then she followed it up with another tweet, and said: “This is me and I will never pretend to be someone I'm not.
“I will not live my life unhappy no matter how things get. I will fight for what's right in my heart and I will use all the love I know for a purpose. Life is too short people, you never know.”

With these exchange, Alex stepped up and defended Heart from her critics.
“Tigilan n'yo si Heart. Napakarami ng natutulungan at napapasaya niya. Mga simpleng bagay, pero sa sobrang dami, ay hindi na rin simple 'yun.
“Tulungan n'yo rin siyang maging siya. Hinahayaan ko siyang kutuhan 'yung mga stray dog na nire-rescue niya. E, malakas trip niya. Gets ko siya,” Alex shared.
She also stressed, "Walang naitutulong yung mga lait nyong pa-deep at pa-intelligent kung hanggang kuda lang yung iba.
"At least Heart is doing something for someone! She walks the talk... In her heels.. And you... You.. the hell!"
Heart has been posting a lot of appealing PPEs on her social media accounts not only to fashionably jump into the new normal trend but to promote safety awareness, too.
