Super Junior's Yesung wants to make a sub-unit with Donghae and Eunhyuk

Super Junior's ballad sub-unit K.R.Y. has been busy promoting their new album “When We Were Us” since its release last June 8th.

This week, Kyuhyun, Ryeowook, and Yesung visit the MBC variety show “Weekly Idol” hosted by Hwang Kwang-hee and fellow Super Junior member Eunhyuk.

During the 1-hour broadcast, the group discussed their dynamics as a sub-unit and as an individual member of the legendary boy group.

In one of the segments, each member had to pick a question and choose which among the two members best describes it without revealing what the topic was.

For the first round, Kyuhyun chose, “Which member makes you want to use a frying pan?” to which he chose Yesung.

“I picked him because I want to do it for him. You might interpret it the wrong way but I mean it the other way and do it for him,” he explained.

The youngest later reflected on his answer and said, “But actually, I want to do both.

“I want to do it when I'm happy and when I feel bad. I really want to do it one day.”

The second one to pick was Ryeowook who chose the statement, “Super Junior K.R.Y. wouldn't have existed without this member.”

His answer? Yesung.

“Because Yesung looks so happy in K.R.Y. and looking at him happy makes me cry,” Ryeowook revealed.

Finally, it was Yesung's turn who got the most contentious statement that said: “I'd rather stay at home than form a group with this member.”

He was very hesitant to answer at first knowing that it would hurt a member's feelings but eventually revealed it to be Kyuhyun saying, “it depends on the way you see it.”

This led the two hosts to ask Yesung that if he were to make another sub-unit within the boy group, who would he choose to be his members.

The balladeer then answered, “Excluding the two of them, I'd choose Donghae and Eunhyuk.

“I think my strength is upbeat music rather than a ballad song.

Kyuhyun, being the quickest in the group, then remarked, “Wouldn't it be Super Junior D.Y.E.? I'm not sure how to pronounce it, but doesn't it sound like 'die?' Just the pronunciation of the word.”

Keeping the witty conversation alive, Yesung continued, “I chose them because I think working with Donghae and Eunhyuk would be great. But, if their singing abilities improved, I think it would be greater.

“Donghae has all the looks, so I think adding another member would be great.”
