Therese Malvar graduates from high school as salutatorian

By Cherry Sun

Congratulations are in order for multi-awarded actress Therese Malvar!

The young Kapuso star does not only excel in the world of showbiz, she performs excellently in her academics, too. In fact, Therese was named salutatorian as she finished high school.

Despite a busy schedule at work, Therese has been attending a regular school. She was even captured catching up on her lessons and homework in between taping for her first top-billed TV series, Inagaw Na Bituin.

Therese's hard work paid off, earning her the title of salutatorian.

The Kapuso actress missed experiencing an actual graduation ceremony due to the COVID-19 crisis, but it was not an excuse for her family not to celebrate her achievement.

Cherry Malvar, her mom and also a talent on Pepito Manalato, took her greetings to social media.

Her post was accompanied by a video scored by the voice recording of Therese's brother singing the graduation march.

The older Malvar wrote, “Congrats baby girl. You made us proud! Since hindi na sila nakapagpa-grad picture and graduation ceremonies, I just captured this video earlier during card distribution with sariling sikap scoring.”

Therese is now preparing to take a film course at MINT college come August.

Congratulations, Kapuso!
