Benjamin Alves shares which of his previous projects he'd love to see on Netflix

By Felix Ilaya

Due to the popularity of the video-streaming app Netflix, a lot of Filipino films are getting its much-deserved recognition such as that of Paolo Contis and Alessandra de Rossi's Through Night And Day and Lovi Poe's Hindi Tayo Pwede.

In an exclusive Kapuso Showbiz News interview with Benjamin Alves, the actor shared which of his previous films he'd love to see get its second wind in the video-streaming platform.

According to Ben, "If there was one, I was thinking because Lovi's one is doing well now, 'yung Sana Dati with her sana. I was hoping because although we did get a general release, it would be nice to watch it again. Kasi iba din 'yung format in HD, lalo na si Direk Jerrold (Tarog) pa 'yung nag-scoring noon. Ang laking bagay noon 'pag narinig mo sa HD surround sound, rinig mo lahat. That one specifically.

"Maybe 'yung kay Solenn (Heussaff) although I don't know kung ano 'yung rating, magiging censorship noon. I don't mind watching kung anong magiging reaction ng mga tao. We haven't had that released anywhere, Cinemalaya lang last year, 'yung dalawa na 'yon."

Ben appeared in the romantic-drama film Sana Dati with Lovi Poe back in 2013 as an entry to Cinemalaya Film Festival and won Best Film and other technical awards at the festival's awards night.

Ben's film with Solenn, Misterio de la Noche, shot last 2019 was also an entry to Cinemalaya. The movie had a world premiere at an international film festival in Canada.
