Elizabeth Oropesa's calls for fair treatment in helping the poor

By Cara Emmeline Garcia

Acclaimed actress Elizabeth Oropesa shared her thoughts and disappointment on the perks received by the privileged in comparison to the marginalized citizens of the Philippines.

On Facebook, she said, “It is unfortunate that we chose to help people who were given many opportunities to have a good life, nagkapera, sikat pero winaldas, nag drugs, alcohol at iba pang bisyo.

Walang publicity.”

Bewildered, she asked her fans, “Bakit ganun?”

Elizabeth argued that the privileged tend to abuse the blessings they received in their lifetime, which led her to conclude, “Life is not fair.”

She added that she feels pity towards the oppressed and the poor, especially during this time of the pandemic.

Like most things, Elizabeth said to take her sentiments with a grain of salt.

After all, she concluded, “Personal ko pong opinion ito. Sharing it with you. God Bless everyone.”
