Sharon Cuneta mourns death of her 'anak-anakan,' Filipino vlogger Lloyd Cadena
Megastar Sharon Cuneta expressed her condolences and wrote a heartfelt message for Filipino vlogger Lloyd Cadena, who passed away yesterday, September 4. He was 26.
Described by Sharon as her “anak-anakan,” she revealed that Lloyd became her strength when she was at the lowest point of her life.
“Imagine my shock when on my IG feed, popped out the news about Lloyd Cadena's unexpected passing!” she wrote in her message.
“Lloyd was one of the 'anak-anakan,' hinihintay ko pang sabihin mo sa akin Lloyd anak kung ano ang gusto mong gift ko sayo sa bagong bahay mo.
“Ang tagal-tagal na nahihiya ka pa rin magsabi, 'di ka tuloy nabigay ng gift nitong 'Inay' mo.
“I will miss you, Lloyd. Salamat sa sayang dinulot ng vlogs mo sa akin na lagi kong sinasabi sayo, lalo nung low na low si Inay at sobrang hurt at sad ako.
“Hinding-hindi kita makakalimutan. At gusto ko malaman ng lahat ngayon na mahal kita anak. Madaming nagmamahal sayo at di ka rin makakalimutan.
“Rest in peace, dear Lloyd, sana ay madami pang tumulad sa pinakita mong kabutihan ng puso mo sa kapwa at sa magulang.
“I love you anak. I will really, really miss you.”
Sharon then shared a quote about legacy from American poet and civil rights activist Maya Angelou.
“Your legacy is every life you have touched,” the quote read.
In the comment section, she wrote, “R.I.P. Lloyd Cadena @lloydcafecadena.”
Sharon also revealed that Lloyd's death reminded her that life is short.
She wrote, “@lloydcafecadena 's sudden passing at the too-young age of almost 27 has once again painfully reminded me of how short life is.”
“Don't live your life the way others expect you to. It is YOUR life. Follow your heart and live it your way.”
