Her videos may come off as annoying at first but you'll soon find yourself binge-watching each of her videos because they're all so relatable!

Plus, it also helps that behind her catty "conyo" facade, the real Rain is an absolute sweetheart with charm and wit that can captivate anyone.

In an exclusive Kapuso Showbiz News Interview with the social media star, Rain shared how she came up with her iconic character.

According to Rain, the concept for her POV TikToks actually came from her mom who gave her the idea to film a video where she pretends to introduce herself to her hypothetical boyfriend's mom.

"'Yung mommy ko, kausap ko siya one Sunday, I remember Sunday 'yon so clearly. Tapos sabi niya 'Rain, pogi 'yung artistang 'to oh. Feel ko dapat maging kayo.'

"Sabi ko, 'Sige, mommy practice ako na introduce ko 'yung sarili ko sa mommy niya para magustuhan niya ako. And then that same afternoon when I arrived home, ginawa ko siyang TikTok.

"Hindi ko inaasahang people would like it and it would blow up. I just wanted to post it sa friends ko and people started liking it so I started incorporating characters like 'yung college kid and the suplada ate," she said.

Despite the 'conyo girl' persona she portrays online, Rain says that she's actually not like that in real life.

She's also quite comfortable speaking in Filipino and only adapted those "kolehiyala affectations" from people she met at school.

At just 20 years old and on her fourth year of Broadcast Communication at UP Diliman, Rain seems wise beyond her years.

Asked about what she thinks is the role of content creators and online influencers in the year 2020, Rain said that she believes they should spread inspiration and laughs to their followers while also educating them about current events and social issues.

"Being a content creator at this time, since all eyes are on social media, I think it really is important na your content does not offend someone.

"Kasi siyempre minsan may mga masasabi ako na offensive pala for other people so I really have to be careful at that end.

"A lot of people look to my videos for inspiration, for laughs and I don't know if they take it personally, akala nila totoo. Siyempre may mga bata ring nanonood.

"And then of course, ako rin I want to be relevant and spread social awareness and current issues so as much as possible, I try to incorporate it."

After getting to spend some time with Rain, we've realized that the current fame she's enjoying isn't just for 15 minutes.

With her drive and talent, we wouldn't be surprised if we see her as a conyo kontrabida on-screen or the one delivering our daily news on TV.
