Weeks after signing with the network, she got featured in GMA Artist Center's online show In The Limelight where she shared some valuable tips for her fellow content creators on how to attract followers on social media.

“My tips for aspiring content creators, be authentic and be very observant. A lot of the content that I create, especially if you wanna do skits, if you wanna do comedy on social media not just on TikTok, you have to be very observant of your environment.

“You also have to be very aware na hindi offensive din 'yung content na ipapalabas mo online,” she said.

The Kapuso newbie also related that she started uploading videos in 2019, but she only caught the netizens' attention during the community quarantine period.

She then talked about the story behind one of her viral videos.

“I remember so clearly in August 23, I was having brunch with my family. 'Tas 'yung mommy ko, 'Rain, medyo cute 'tong artista na 'to ha,' 'Oh my gosh sige mommy, kunwari nagpapakilala ako sa mom niya.'

“Tapos nag-practice ako sa harap ng mommy ko as kausap ko 'yung nanay nung crush ko. I always do that actually in front of my aunties and uncles tapos natatawa sila pero sometimes naiinis na din, so I brought it to TikTok.

“And that went kind of viral, and then on the same day of August 23, I also made another TikTok video. 'Yun 'yung, as far as I know, POV I'm your classmate na nilaglag ka sa group work, and that was what went viral on Twitter,” she shared.

Rain also revealed that she never really set out to create content for popularity.

“I never actually intended to go viral. I just wanted to find an outlet for creativity. I never really wanted to get the traction that it did, but of course, I'm very grateful 'cause it's gotten me to where I am today and gotten me a lot of opportunities,” she added.

Before becoming a TikTok star, she was Adamson University's courtside reporter during the Season 82 of the University Athletic Association of the Philippines (UAAP).
