Winnie Monsod and Kara David take on the 'Guess the Emoji challenge'

By Marah Ruiz

Emojis or those little digital images we use to express various emotions or ideas in digital platforms, have become an integral part of the way we communicate.

"Alam n'yo, emojis are the thing today. Every time somebody sends me a text message, may emoji. May mga heart, may mga smile, may mga kung ano ano. Apparently there are other emojis," says New Normal: The Survival Guide Series Newsmakers host Winnie Monsod.

She and her guest, award-winning Kapuso broadcast journalist Kara David discuss their favorite emojis.

"Ang ginagamit ko 'yung heart emoji saka 'yung parang nagba-blush na parang naka-smile, tapos 'yung laughing emoji," Kara shares.

"Ako, heart emoji and the praying emoji," Tita Winnie says.

Winnie and Kara will go head to head and play the Guess the Emoji challenge.

"Today, we're going to play an emoji game. Guess what these emojis actually are saying," explains Winnie.

There will be three rounds--easy, average, and difficult.

They will have to guess what the series of emojis are trying to say. The answers range from common buzz words, nursery rhymes, and even movies.
