Everyone's favorite oppa, Park Seo-joon, is confirmed to revisit the Philippines!

After signing up with telecommunications brand SMART, the Itaewon Class star will be making waves again in the archipelago with fellow South Korean actors Hyun Bin and Son Ye-jin.

The news was confirmed by PLDT Chief Revenue Officer Alfredo S. Panlilio, who said that they'd be bringing in the premier stars once it is safe to travel.

“Ever since we signed Hyun Bin and Son Ye-jin, we've been getting messages wanting them to join any event,” he said during the virtual media conference held on Wednesday, October 28.

“Of course, we plan to bring them in. It's all part of their contract.

“It's really just the timing. We can't commit yet as to when with the travel restrictions, but we'll try our very best to make it happen for sure.”

It can be recalled that Park Seo-joon visited the Philippines in September 2019 to attend the launch of his endorsement for a local clothing brand.

SVP and Head of Consumer Wireless Business Jane Basas and FVP and Group Head for Prepaid Marketing Miriam Choa said that Park Seo-joon was very professional on and off the camera.

Jane said, “He was pleased and proud that he would be joining the family alongside Hyun Bin and Son Ye-jin. So he was aware of the first two Korean celebrities. He also knows that he has a huge fan base in the Philippines.

“His only request when we're talking to him is if we could make the campaign different and very unique from the first two.”

She continued, “So we made sure we play up his fun side and his romantic persona, to make it stand out from the first two campaigns which were quite corporate in the treatment.”

The brand executive also said that there's a second commercial featuring Park Seo-joon coming out very soon.

She hinted, “We came up with the two campaigns. What audiences will see is only the first one and in the coming weeks, we'll release the second.”

Park Seo-joon was named the telco brand's latest endorser to promote its latest streaming prepaid subscription.
