Hyun Bin receives prestigious South Korean government award

Korean star Hyun Bin recently received a special award from the Korea Popular Culture and Arts Awards, which was hosted by South Korea's Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, and organized by the Korea Creative Content Agency.

The award-giving body was established in 2010 and recognizes Korean artists who have significant contributions to the country's popular culture.

Hyun Bin received a Presidential Citation for his work as an actor. Other Korean celebrities including Kang Ha-neul, Gong Hyo-jin, Kim Hee-ae, and K-pop band SEVENTEEN also earned merits from the Popular Culture and Arts Awards.

Hyun Bin's agency, Vast Entertainment posted photos of the actor holding his trophy and certificate and congratulated him for the prestigious award.

The Korean actor starred in the 2019 hit drama Crash Landing On You and is set to appear in the 2020 film Bargaining.
