Sanya Lopez names Rocco Nacino, Derrick Monasterio among her 'firsts'

Sanya Lopez names fellow Kapuso stars Rocco Nacino and Derrick Monasterio in recalling her first experiences and first memories in and outside showbiz.

Sanya talked about her “firsts”--from the mundane to the memorable--in an exclusive video with GMANetwork.com.

The Kapuso talent shared what social media app she checks first thing in the morning, her first childhood dream, the first big purchase she made using her talent fee as an actress, and the first foreign country she visited.

Sanya also revealed that dogs were not her first pet, that she had to audition five times to earn her first big break on Encantadia, and that she played a bit role in Kapuso series top-billed by Bela Padilla.

Among her firsts also include Derrick, her first friend in showbiz, and Rocco, her first on-screen kiss.

Sanya recalled, “Si Derrick Monasterio. Sobrang open niya. Jolly kasi 'yang si Derrick, 'tsaka approachable. 'Yung parang ngiti ka lang sa kanya, 'Uy,' ganyan siya kaagad. Siya 'yung magwe-welcome sa'yo.”

She also gushed when she recalled her first kissing scene on TV.

The Kapuso actress said, “Si Rocco noong Encantadia kasi partner kasi si Danaya at si Acquil. Sobrang love nila 'yung isa't isa to the point na talagang sabi ni direk, 'Okey, i-kiss niyo na 'yan.'

“Uh, grabe 'yung kabog ng dibdib ko kasi kinakabahan talaga ako that time. 'Okey, kaya mo 'yan Sanya. Kaya mo 'yan, hinga ka, hinga ka.' Kasi siyempre Rocco Nacino 'yun eh, 'di ba?”

Sanya enjoyed looking back at all her firsts especially now that the Kapuso star was given her first title role via First Yaya.

She claimed, “Sobrang excited ako na magawa itong teleserye na ito dahil gusto ko pong makapagbigay sa inyo ng saya at makapagbigay ng positivity sa lahat ng nanonood lalo na nangyayari itong pandemic.”
