Beauty queen Michele Gumabao is once again responding to her critics who questioned her motives for prioritizing her relief operations than attending a TV guesting with her fellow Miss Universe Philippines winners.

On Instagram, Michele posted a photo of herself in action while distributing relief goods in Isabela alongside her brother, Marco, and fellow volunteers.

“A lot of people have been questioning my motives for coming up here just because I missed a guesting of the MUPH queens on TV!” she wrote in the caption.

“Our goods were scheduled to be brought to Isabela and distributed by volunteers just because may scheduled guesting ako on Sunday.

"But due to multiple relief operations [kahit negative ako sa swab], my handler and the show decided for the safety of everyone.”

She clarified, “Hindi ako kasama because of the exposure from my relief operations.”

According to Michele, she decided to speak up because she doesn't want her non-profit organization to be involved in such a “drama.”

“Sanay na ako sa mga issue on social media and as I said before, basta ako lang i-bash n'yo, okay lang.

“But, when it involves our organization, I have to clear this up because so many people trusted and donated their hard-earned money for the victims of Typhoon Ulysses, and I will personally see our operations through!

“I will not allow your drama to taint this initiative and all the people who worked hard to make this happen.

“If you have any questions with attendance, you can ask those who invited us to their programs.”

She concluded, “Kung gusto n'yo akong makita sumayaw sa TV, manood kasi kayo ng 'Wowowin' every Friday. Baka kumanta pa ako dun!”

Michele competed at the Miss Universe Philippines 2020 pageant, where she finished as 2nd Runner-up, finishing behind Rabiya Mateo of Iloilo City and first runner-up Ysabella Ysmael of Parañaque.

She is currently co-hosting the "Tutok to Win" segment in Wowowin.
