'Supremo' to air on GMA Kapuso Movie festival this November 30

By Bianca Geli

In commemoration of Andres Bonifacio day on November 30, a special screening of the historical film will air on GMA's Kapuso Movie Festival.

Take a journey back to the Philippines' cry for independence from Spain led by the revolutionary "supremo" Andres Bonifacio, (Alfred Vargas) and the Katipunan. Watch the story of genuine patriots bravely facing a series of battles against the Spanish military, leading to an upheaval that made a mark in Philippine history.

Supremo's excellent cinematography and production will take you back in time and bring life to the stories you've only read in textbooks. The movie's characters display courage and hope, even displaying their humor in some scenes, which shows the Filipino's resilience despite adversity.

The film also stars Mon Confiado as Macario Sacay, Nicco Manalo as Emilio Jacinto, Alex Vincent Medina as Procopio Bonifacio, Hermie Concepcion as Melchora "Tandang Sora" Aquino, and Manu Respal as Emilio Aguinaldo. Supermo is directed by Richard V. Somes, produced by PM Vargas, and written by Jimmy Flores, under Alternative Vision Cinema Strawdogs Studio Production.

Watch Supremo in GMA's Kapuso Movie Festival this Monday, 9:30 am.
