Janella Salvador and Markus Paterson introduce Baby Jude

On October 20, 2020, actress Janella Salvador and beau Markus Paterson welcomed their first child together, named Jude Trevor Paterson.

Janella announced the great news on Tuesday, January 5, through a vlog that showcased their journey to parenthood.

Based on the video, Janella started her pregnancy journey in early 2020 -- February, to be exact.

They found out the gender of their baby on May 30, with Markus screaming, “I knew it! It's a boy!”

Titled “Hey, Jude,” the two parents each shared their lovely messages for their newborn and said how he had become the most precious gift they've received for the year.

She expressed, “Hey, Jude. As I compose this, I'm staring at your perfect little face with all the love I didn't know I had in me. I'm feeling so many emotions but mostly excited that we're finally ready to introduce you to the world.

“Well, if I'm going to be honest, I'm quite nervous about this day because I know how harsh the world can be.”

Janella continued, “If your dad and I could have you to ourselves forever, in our own quiet little world, we would, but that would be selfish. You are too precious not to be shared. The world deserves to see the precious smiles you give us -- the ones that melt our hearts.

“The world deserves to see you grow in your own unique self, and I can't believe that you are mine.”

The 22-year-old actress said that motherhood is “truly the best feeling.”

She added, “Jude, you won't probably understand this until you are a lot older. But when you do, I hope you see how much your papa and I love you… and how crazy we are.”

For his part, Markus said he will do everything in his power to protect his child and promises to love him forever.

“There aren't enough words to express how much love I have for you,” he admitted.

“The minute I saw you, I knew I would do anything in this world to protect you, and I can't wait to introduce you to the world and hold you in my arms, even until you think it's uncool and get mad at me as you walk off to your friends. And yes, I will be that dad.”

Markus added, “You are loved forever by your mother and I.”

In the latter part of the vlog, several of Janella and Markus' closest friends and family members shared their messages for the newborn. Each of them saying, “Hey, Jude,” after the iconic Beatles song.

Together with Janina's mother, Jenine Desidero, the couple is currently in Markus's hometown in the United Kingdom taking care of Baby Jude.
